Meal Prep Class

Southwest City Library is hosting an adult class for those who would like to learn some ideas in meal preparation. Eden Stewart, nutrition associate with the Missouri Extension Office, will teach some tips on making a meal plan, shopping smart and saving at the register.

Have you ever heard someone say they only spend $50 a week on food for their family and you think, "No way!?" Now learn the secrets of feeding your family healthy meals on a limited budget. Participants will also be making and sampling a dish that will be sure to please the whole family but is also healthy and tasty. (Shh -- you don't have to tell them that!)

The class is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, in the community room of the Southwest City Library. The class is free, but pre-registration is required. Call the library at 417-762-7323 to sign up. The McDonald County Library-Pineville location is also hosting the same class at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31. Sign up now by calling 417-223-4489 or 417-762-7323.
