Jim and Bertha Bush of Nevada, Mo., celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Dec. 9, 2016.
They were married in the old united Methodist Church in Anderson on Dec. 9, 1956.
Jim and Bertha lived in Joplin, Mo., for three years while he worked at Atlas Powder Company. In 1959, he went to work for Missouri State Parks as an assistant park superintendent at Lake of the Ozarks. They lived in six more state parks over a period of 38 years. They retired in 1997.
They have two children, Jason Bush and wife Holly of Nevada, Mo., and Cindy Simmons and husband John of Stockton, Mo., and one grandson, Brandon Barnes of Stockton.
