Mayor, council form of government, council meets 5:30 p.m. second Tuesday every other month
Sales tax -- 1.5 cents on the dollar
Water -- Renter deposit, $150; owner deposit, $80; call city hall for latest costs and/or deposits for new construction hookup, existing home, inside city limits
Sewer service -- None
Trash service -- $11 per month, included in water billing
Water rates -- Call city hall for latest rates for inside city limits and outside city limits rates
Liquor licenses -- $100
Business licenses -- $20 per year; junk yards $50 per year
Dog licenses -- $7.50 per year if neutered or spayed; $10 if not fixed; tags required; vaccinations required; rabies clinic held every spring
City park -- overnight camping and pavilions available; call city hall for rates
Municipal Court -- 4:30 p.m. third Tuesday
Property tax -- .7008 cents per $100 of assessed valuation, but subject to change yearly -- call city hall for figure
