Anderson Betterment Club Meeting Dec. 14

Anderson Betterment Club will hold this month's general meeting at noon Thursday, Dec. 14, at the new MAC Community Room. Included on the agenda is a discussion on the recent 2017 KCS Holiday Express stop and how things went with that event. There will also be updates on the playground project and what's to follow. The club will recap all the great things the community has done in 2017 and talk about some of the plans for 2018. The public is welcome.

SWC Senior Center Hosting Contest Dec. 15

The Southwest City Senior Center will host an ugly-sweater contest at 11:15 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 15. For more information, call 417-762-3652.

Stella Senior Center Dance Dec. 15

The Stella Senior Center will host a dance on Friday, Dec 15. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m., with the dance starting at 7 p.m. The band is The McDonald County Playboys. Cover charge is $3 for the dance. Food is available at 5:30 p.m. Call 417-628-3314 for more information.

American Legion Benefit Dinner Dec. 15

Pineville/Jane American Legion Post 392 will host the third Friday benefit dinner on Dec. 15. The dinner will be prepared by the Ladies Auxiliary and will feature baked ham, potatoes, vegetable, salad, rolls, dessert, and drinks. Serving will start at 4:30 p.m. A donation of $7 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under is requested. Everyone is welcome, and carry-outs are available. The Legion building is located on Jessie James Road, next to the Cornerstone Bank in Pineville. Area residents are encouraged to come out and support those who have served and are serving.

Candlelight Christmas Eve Worship Dec. 24

The Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista invites the community to a candlelight Christmas Eve worship service of lessons and carols at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 24. The sacrament of Holy Communion will also be celebrated. All are also invited for a short come-as-you-are worship service at 11:15 a.m. on Christmas Day. The fellowship committee will host a potluck ham dinner at noon. Please bring a side dish to share and your own table service.
