JV Wrestling Tournament

Wilson Menas, Rendon Lane and Brandon Andrew won first place in their divisions on Saturday at the Frontenac JV Wrestling Tournament.

Menas went 4-0, three pins, in the 182-pound class for his title. Lane won all five of his matches, including four by pins, to take the 195-pound division, while Andrew went 4-0 at 220 pounds, winning twice by pin, once by decision (4-0) and once by injury default.

Other McDonald County results include Eh Doh Say, 3-1 at 106, second; Christian Davidson, 3-1 at 113, second; Jaw Di, 2-2 at 126, third; Marshall Brock, 2-2 at 152, third; Codie Evans, 0-5 at 145, sixth; Jarred Maggard, 2-1 at 220 (loss was to Andrew), second; and, McKoy Ikosia, 2-1 at 285, second.

In B brackets, Carson Hoth won the 132-pound division with a 3-1 record, Jordan Meador took the title at 152 pounds with a 3-0 record and Jesus Ocampo won at 182 pounds with four wins in four matches. Keagan Spurgeon was second at 126 pounds with a 3-1 record.

The Mustang junior varsity hosts the McDonald County JV Tournament on Dec. 16, beginning at 9 a.m., at MCHS.
