7th Grade Lady Mustangs

The McDonald County seventh-grade girls' basketball team fell to 5-7 for the season with a 22-16 loss to Mount Vernon on Dec. 1 at home.

Megan Elwood and Lexie Abbot scored six points each to lead the Lady Mustangs, while Samara Smith and Maggie Pratt had two each.

Mount Vernon added a 25-20 win in the B game. Scoring for McDonald County was as follows: Ruth Sherman seven points, Skylor Taylor six, Kylan Horton four, Mya Burton two and Kya Baisch one.

Webb City claimed a 29-16 win in the A game and a 28-15 win in the B game on Nov. 30 at home.

In the A game, McDonald County was led by Smith with five points and Reagan Myrick and Elwood with four points each, while Pratt had two and Hailey Montgomery one.

Burton and Sherman led the B team with five points each. Analisa Ramirez, Horton and A.J. Joseph had two points each.

McDonald County claimed a 28-15 win over Cassville on Nov. 28 at Cassville behind eighth points from Smith and seven from Myrick. Montgomery and Elwood added six points each, while Pratt had one.

McDonald County made it a sweep with a 25-14 win in the B game. Burton scored eight points and Sherman had six to lead McDonald County, followed by Horton and Baisch with four points each and Ramirez with three.
