Mustang Pride Day Aug. 19

The McDonald County High School Booster Club will host this year's Mustang Pride Day on Saturday, Aug. 19, at MCHS.

Activities start off at 8 a.m. on the track at the football stadium with races for students in grades 3-8. The various length races are hosted by the high school cross country team and coaches.

The 2017 Lady Mustang volleyball team will scrimmage from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

The softball team will be hosting a youth camp from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at a cost of $10.

The MCHS football team will have a punt, pass and kick contest at 1 p.m.

All fall sports athletes and coaches will be introduced at the booster club tent at 11 a.m., including junior high school and youth football.

Barkin' Pig BBQ will be selling lunches throughout the day.

Iron Works Church is sponsoring the event this year by providing tents, bounce houses, free chicken, free hot dogs, water and door prizes.

Other activities include a slip 'n slide, dunk tank, face painting from the Van Gogh bus, selfie with a cop, bean bag toss, pedal cars and a watermelon eating contest. Honey's Ice is giving away 200 free snocones.

Vendors will be set up selling Mustang Apparel from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
