Soccer Squad Earns Victory

McDonald County controlled the ball for most of the game while scoring three goals to claim a 3-0 win over Thomas Jefferson Academy on Sept. 20 at MCHS behind a shutout by freshman goalie Arturro Morales.

The win improved the Mustangs' record to 2-8 for the season.

McDonald County built a 1-0 lead at intermission on goals by Jeobany Marcos and Eh Doh Say. Marcos opening goal came on an assist by Alfredo Sanchez at the 29th minute. Say made it 2-0 in the 38th minute with Marcos getting the assist.

Marcos gave McDonald County an insurance goal in the second half in the 63rd minute with his second goal of the game.

McDonald County hosted Cassville on Sept. 27 before traveling to Aurora on Sept. 29. Game time is 5 p.m.

Neosho

Neosho built a 4-1 lead at halftime and added a second half goal to claim a 5-1 win over McDonald County on Sept. 22 at MCHS.

Sanchez scored the Mustangs' lone goal in the 27th minute on an assist from Marcos.
