Seneca JV Topples McDonald County

The Seneca Indians scored two touchdowns in both the first and fourth quarters to claim a 36-12 win over McDonald County in a 9/10 game held Sept. 6 at Seneca High School.

McDonald County cut Seneca's early lead to 22-12 in the third quarter before the Indians added a pair of insurance touchdowns on the final period.

Ben Mora scored the Mustangs' first touchdown on a 1-yard run while Jack Bowers ran 73 yards for the second.

Bowers finished with 122 yards on six carries to lead the ground game. Taeshaun Alik added 29 yards on five carries while Mateo Cain had 12 yards on five carries. Mora finished with 10 yards on nine carries and also completed four of 10 passes for 60 yards. Cain completed his only pass for 35 yards.

Koby McAlister led the receivers with four catches for 85 yards while Cade Smith had one catch for 10 yards.
