Crosslines Raising Cash For Matching Grant

Special to McDonald County Press

Crosslines of McDonald County is raising $5,000 in order to receive a dollar-for-dollar matching grant from Ozarks Food Harvest, the regional food bank for southwest Missouri. The funds are thanks to a grant The Food Bank received from the Walmart Foundation State Giving Program.

This is the seventh annual gift from the Walmart Foundation's State Giving Program that Ozarks Food Harvest has offered to its agencies as the "Walmart Hunger Challenge" matching grant opportunity. The funds Crosslines raises will be used to provide food for those in need in McDonald County.

Crosslines has until March 1 to raise $5,000, which will be matched dollar-for-dollar, bringing the total funds to $10,000. Those who wish to donate to Crosslines can mail donations to P.O. Box 473, Anderson, MO 64831. Officials at the nonprofit ask that gifts are designated to be used for the challenge grant.

As a fundraiser, Crosslines will designate all Friday sales in their thrift shop to this cause.
