The McDonald County Junior High School wrestling team defeated Cassville 78-66 in a duel held Nov. 8 at MCHS.
McDonald County won 13 matches, all by pin, while Cassville came out on top in 12 matches, 10 by pin and two by decision.
Winning their matches for the Mustangs were Junior Eliam, Jacob Owens, Gabriel Selby, Jacob Selby, Dylan Shay, Austin Manwiller, Brandon Armstrong, Jordan Meador, Jabin Harvey, Levi Neale, Alexis Pedroza, Caden Misner and Kaden Keeling.
McDonald County was at Webb City Nov. 14 and hosted Joplin South and Neosho Nov. 15 before traveling to Monett Nov. 17 to face Joplin East, Joplin South and Diamond in addition to the Cubs. The Mustangs compete in the Joplin Tournament Nov. 19 to wrap up their schedule prior to the Thanksgiving break.
McDonald County is at Carthage Dec. 1 and at Seneca Dec. 3 to finish the season.
