Artificial Insemination Training Class In Mountain Grove Nov. 16-18.

MOUNTAIN GROVE -- Two specialists with University of Missouri Extension will conduct an artificial insemination training class Nov. 16-18.

The training will feature classwork in Mountain Grove at the Missouri State University Fruit Station and then practice with cows on a farm north of Mountain Grove.

Ted Probert, dairy specialist with MU Extension and Randy Wiedmeier, livestock specialist with MU Extension, will co-teach the class.

"There has been so much interest in this topic, including requests to be trained, that we decided to bring the class to Wright County and this area of Missouri," said Probert.

Persons interested in the training can register for the class by calling the Wright County Extension office at 417-541-7545. The cost for training will be $300 per person with a deposit of $150 before the class begins.

Space is limited, and we registrations are being taken on a first come, first served basis.
