McDonald County High School baseball players will play in the MO-KAN Baseball League this summer.
There will be two teams, an 18-and-under team and one for 16 and under.
Teams in the 16U league include Carl Junction, Carthage, Girard, Lamar, Joplin and Pittsburg in the North division and McDonald County, Cassville, Monett, Neosho, Seneca and Webb City in the South Division.
Teams in the 18U league include Carl Junction, Carthage, Pittsburg Colgan, Frontenac, Joplin and Pittsburg in the North Division and McDonald County, Cassville, Monett, Neosho, Seneca and Webb City in the South Division.
The 16U team opens the season on May 27 with a doubleheader in the Bulldog Baseball Academy Tournament at Carl Junction. McDonald County opens with Carl Junction at 1 p.m. followed immediately by Monett at 3 p.m. On May 28, McDonald County plays Nixa at 3 p.m. with the finals set for May 29.
The 18U team plays in the Bulldog Baseball Academy Tournament beginning on June 3 against Joplin at 1 p.m. and followed at 3 p.m. against Hillcrest. McDonald County completes the pool on June 4 against Monett at 11 a.m. and against Webb City at 1 p.m. A championship game is set for June 5 at 1 p.m.
