The Republican Club meeting on April 28 hosted by Project Graduation was a great one. The seniors and their parents prepared an awesome meal. Dakota Bunch spoke on behalf of the seniors. She explained what Project Graduation meant to her and what she was looking forward to. The parents had some items donated, and Stephanie Sweeten auctioned them off. An additional $295 was raised from the auction.
McDonald County had six delegates and three alternates participate in the 7th Congressional District Caucus on Saturday, April 30. The six delegates were Bill Lant, Janice Pratt, Joye Helm, Bill Dobbs, Dirk Deaton, Karen Dobbs and Anna Watson. The alternates were David Holloway, Julie Holloway and J.R. Pratt. Their focus was to elect delegates to send to the National Republican Convention from the 7th District and to determine a platform to be forwarded to the next level.
The next meeting will be held May 26 at 6 p.m. at the Pineville Community Center. This will be a fundraiser for their scholarship fund.
