No Comparison

Everyone worships a god. Every person on earth has something/someone who is their No. 1 priority -- their god.

What I hear in today's society disturbs me greatly.

"All gods are the same."

"It doesn't make any difference which god you worship, or if you worship any god at all."

Wrong! Not true!

Time for a comparison: The One True God vs. the lesser gods.

God is forever. God is the great I AM, which means that God has always been, now is and will exist for eternity. God was never created; He has always existed. None of the other gods can make that claim. No comparison!

God created all things. He created universes and galaxies. God created suns and moons and stars and planets; He placed them in perfect orbits. God selected planet Earth and filled it with every living creature. Then He breathed His own holy breath into Adam (mankind) and Eve (womankind), and they became living human beings. God created the gods; the many gods were creations of the human mind and imagination. Not one of the lesser gods has ever created anything, not even one star. None of these gods is able to breath life into a baby and cause it to have a soul. No comparison!

God is invisible. God, however, became visible in Jesus Christ. The Divine God became a human being just like all of us. He was born as a baby in Bethlehem, grew up as a child in Nazareth, went to school, worked in his dad's carpentry shop, became an itinerant minister, was crucified in Jerusalem, was buried in a tomb, rose from the dead, appeared alive to many eyewitnesses and is alive on the Throne of Heaven to this very day. No other god has ever done this. No comparison!

God is Love. God is the perfect example of what a father should be. We call Him our heavenly Father because He "fathered" us, caused us to come alive. As our heavenly Father, God loves us deeply and intensely. God's love for us will last forever -- nothing in Heaven or on Earth can keep God from loving us. In fact, God loved us so much that he became a human being, He suffered and He died on a cross to save us from our sins, to save us from worshipping Self. None of the other gods has ever shown that kind of love. No comparison!

God is Truth. He created everything and everyone. He alone knows how every part is supposed to work and how every part is designed to fit together. There are laws governing the physical universe, the moral and ethical world and the spiritual life. God makes the laws and sets the standards. The breaking of these laws, or the ignoring of these standards, is what we call "sin." When compared to all the other gods, there is No Comparison!

God is a personal God. Since He "fathered" each of us, God takes a personal interest in our daily lives and in the life of every nation. God also gives His children the freedom to make their own choices. None of the lesser gods can claim that. No comparison!

Not all gods are the same!

There is only One, True, Living God.
