From Staff Reports

More than 50 riders rumbled into Blankenship Park April 16 to participate in a Poker Run to benefit local teen Lane Killion.

The path wound through Missouri and Oklahoma for almost 100 miles with stops in Eucha, Ketchum and Bernice, Okla.

Upon their return to Southwest City, riders were welcomed with hot dogs, baked goods and a chance to bid on some fun items.

More than $2,000 was raised over the course of the day, all of which will go directly to Lane and his family.

Fifteen-year-old Lane was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in February. He is currently traveling between home in Southwest City and Children's Hospital in Little Rock, Ark., to receive treatment.

Organizers would like to thank all of the businesses and individuals that donated items, money, or time to this event.
