Webb City scored three runs in the top of the 10th inning to claim a 13-10 win over McDonald County in a MO-KAN 18U Baseball League game June 21 at McDonald County High School.

McDonald County reliever A.J. Madewell gave up three unearned runs in the 10th on two hits and three errors.

McDonald County scored two runs in the bottom of the first, one in the third, and three in the fourth to build a 6-2 lead after four innings, but Webb City cut the margin to 6-3 in the fifth and scored four runs in the sixth and one in the seventh to take a 10-8 lead.

McDonald County forced extra innings with two runs in the bottom half of the inning. Emitt Dalton doubled and Jaime Hanke singled to put runners on second and third to start the inning. Jon Martin drove in one run with a ground out to third before Joe Brown singled to tie the score.

After both teams failed to score in the eighth, Madewell came in to start the ninth and allowed two runs on a walk and two hits. But for the second time in the game, McDonald County scored two runs in the bottom half of the inning to tie the game.

Dalton again started the rally, this time getting hit by a pitch to lead off the inning. Hanke doubled to put runners on second and third. Brown drove in Dalton with a ground out before Caleb Curtis tied the game with a two-out single.

Dalton doubled in Ty Shaver for McDonald County's first run and scored on an RBI single by Brown to tie the game at 2-2 in the first. Dalton doubled and scored on Martin's RBI single in the third to give McDonald County a 3-2 lead. In the fourth, Victor Payne and James King walked before Dalton had an RBI single and Hanke drove in two runs with a double.

Dalton finished with four hits, including three doubles, while Hanke had had two doubles and a single. Brown and Payne added two hits each while Martin, Curtis and Madewell had one each.

Hanke started for McDonald County, allowing two first-inning runs on two hits and an error before shutting out Webb City over the next four innings. Tyler Sellers gave up a single run in the fifth before Webb City scored four runs in the sixth on one hit, two walks, a hit batter and an error. Charlie Moore allowed an unearned run the seventh on a double, a walk and two errors before retiring the side in order in the eighth.

Neosho

Neosho defeated McDonald county 9-0 in a nine-inning game on June 23 in Neosho. Sellers took the loss, allowing seven runs in five innings. Madewell worked the final four innings, allowing two unearned runs.

McDonald County was held to just three hits -- singles by Payne, Martin and Brown.

McDonald County falls to 6-6 entering its final week of the regular season. McDonald County hosted Monett on June 27 before closing out the regular season at home against Cassville on June 28. Game time is 5:30 p.m.
