Jesse James Day Pageants
Sign-ups will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 18, at Pineville City Hall.
Sign-up sheets will be available at Pineville City Hall during normal business hours (8 a.m.-4 p.m.). Tickets can be picked up anytime between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. The pageant will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11.
This year, there will be three age groups for boys and four age groups for girls. For both boys and girls, there will be Baby Jesse (under 1 year old), Toddler Jesse (ages 1 to 4), and Little Mr./Miss Jesse (ages 5-9). For girls only, there will be Miss Jesse (ages 10-14).

Meet the Candidates
The Stella Senior Center will host a special Meet the Candidates event for Newton County Friday, July 15. From 4:30 to 6 p.m., they will serve a pulled pork dinner with dessert and drink for $5. After dinner, the candidates will speak. A Pie Auction will follow. At 7 p.m., dance and enjoy the music of "The McDonald County Playboys" for $3.
