Goodman Christmas Parade
The Goodman Christmas parade will be 1 p.m. Dec. 10 at School Street and Main Street. Arrive at 12:30 p.m. to register.
Grand marshals are the 1964 state basketball champions, cheerleaders and coach.
There will be a raffle for a recliner and a smoker grill and a free drawing for a girl's bicycle and a boy's bicycle. Everyone is welcome. Santa will be at the fire station after the parade.
Also, the Kansas City Southern's Holiday Express will be in Goodman at 4 p.m. Dec. 14, at 205 West B Ave., at the intersection of North School Street and West B Avenue.
Senior Center Dinner/Dance
The Stella Senior Center will have a dinner and dance on Friday evening, Dec. 2. Starting at 5:30, they will serve chili dogs with chips and slaw, dessert and drink for $5. At 7 p.m., dance to music by "The McDonald County Playboys" for $3.
Bunker Hill Singing
The monthly singing at Bunker Hill is set for 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Bunker Hill Community Building. The building is located 5 miles north of Pineville on Route W or 5 miles east of Anderson on Highway 76, then just south on Route W. There will be potluck foods available, so bring your favorite dish to share with everyone. "The Ozark Ridgerunners" will be the featured entertainers. Project Graduation Auction
McDonald County Project Graduation will be holding an auction at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, in the Agriculture annex on Mustang Drive in Anderson. Furniture, crystal and china kitchenware and woodworking tools are among the various things that will be up for bid. Proceeds will benefit Project Graduation -- a parent-sponsored night of safe, fun activities following the senior class' graduation each year. Cassville Dance
The Cassville Dance will be from 7 to 10 p.m. Dec. 10, at the Senior Center, 1111 Fair Street, Cassville, Mo. There is a $4 cover charge at the door. "The Roaring River Sound Band" will be playing, and finger foods are requested for sharing. For more information, call 417-846-3024 or 417-846-5355.
Women's Chorus Invitation
Bella Vista Women's Chorus invites singers from McDonald County to join them. All are welcome with no tryouts or experience needed. Directed by Dr. Larry Zehring, BVWC performs classical, pop, folk and show tunes for local clubs and events. Rehearsals are at 12:45 p.m. on Mondays in the music room of the Bella Vista First United Methodist Church. The chorus is available to sing for clubs and organizations.
