First Baptist Church of Anderson is honored to host the Saints Alive Choir from First Baptist Church of Rogers, Ark.

This active group of 65 senior adults has been performing since 1999. They were featured at Chautauqua 2000 in Glorieta, N.M., presenting the theme musical "Serve With Gladness" at that conference and have twice been asked to perform at the Arkansas Baptist State Convention.

They were selected as a featured choir at the "Worthy of the Call" Senior Adult Conference at East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas. Besides singing regularly at their home church, Saints Alive also presents programs in other churches and community venues. Their repertoire is varied, but they particularly enjoy singing Southern gospel.

The Saints Alive Choir will be presenting their most recent program, "Sweeter as the Days Go By," at 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, at First Baptist Church of Anderson. This collection of favorite gospel and worship songs celebrates the Christian journey of faith.
