A partial McDonald County high school golf team competed at the Sonic Invitational held April 18 at Carthage Golf Course.
The Mustangs were led by Kole Keith with a 108 while Nathan Knadle and Tim Shields both shot 115.
John Quitno of Nevada fired an even par round of 72 to win medalist honors. The Tigers also won the team title with a four-man score of 308 to beat runner-up Nixa by eight strokes.
McDonald County began the Big 8 Conference Tournament on Monday with the first leg at Lamar. The second final leg of the tournament is set for April 28.
