Thacker Finds 4-H Is So Much More Than Animals

My name is Taylor Thacker. I am a member of the McDonald County 4-H Archery Club and have been in 4-H for eight years.

My projects are swine and archery. I enjoy 4-H because I like going on the trips and meeting new people. 4-H is all about learning by doing and I have learned a lot this year. For example: Pigs are a great learning experience. I have learned how to check heat cycles, to artificially inseminate, and to be on top of any illness.

I encourage all kids to try 4-H. It is not all about animals, there is so much more.
