The Avengers Fun For Young And Old

The Avengers are back in an all new adventure. In a fictional Eastern European country of Sokovia, the Avengers composed of Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), Steve Rogers/Capt. America (Chris Evans), Thor, Bruce Banner/Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (Scarlett Johannson) and Clint Barton/Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) start a raid on a Hydra outpost that has been experimenting on humans using the scepter previously wielded by Loki.

They encounter two human experiments -- twins Pietro (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), who has superhuman speed, and Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), who can manipulate minds and project energy. Stark retrieves Loki's scepter and Stark and Banner discover an artificial intelligence within the scepter's gem and secretly use it to complete Stark's "Ultron" global defense program.

After some failed programs, they unknowing create Ultron, who's intelligence and perhaps corruption of the scepter makes Ultron believe he must eradicate humanity to save Earth, eliminates Stark's A.I., J.A.R.V.I.S. and attacks the rest of the Avengers.

Now they must band together to stop the Stark and Banner's Frankenstein creation before it destroys all of humanity. Like the first Avengers movie and previous Marvel movies, the film manages to combine good comic book fun with a complex plot and is intelligent enough to please adults. The major downside of the film is that it feels a rushed much of the first half and overlong in the second half. But, still a recommendation for action fans and tame for some family showings.
