Crowder College In Jane Enters Second Year

Crowder College in Jane is in its second year of serving students at its campus in McDonald County after opened in January 2014.

Aaron Divine became director of the McDonald County campus in July 2014.

The McDonald County Crowder campus currently offers full associate degrees in nursing, general studies and business administration. Planned for this fall, full certifications will be available for CNA specialist, EMT and more.

The nursing skills lab is an exact replica of hospital and medical facilities. There are two full-time nursing instructors and there are adjunct instructors. There are a total of 35 instructors at the college.

The McDonald County campus includes the "James B. Tatum Hall," honoring the longtime president of the board of trustees. Tatum was instrumental in establishing Crowder.

The school prides itself on low-cost tuition and wants everyone to know about the college is that "community college is for everyone."
