God Is In Question Today

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

Dennis Yotter welcomed the church and read several thank you notes. Megan Yotter played "Jesus Loves Me" during the penny drill and Derrek Woodard and Bill Thomas received the morning tithes and offerings. Pastor Scott led the congregation in prayer for many prayer requests and praises; God is good. Tara Stephens and Megan led the worship service with "O, I Want to See Him," "This World is Not My Home" and "Near the Cross."

Then certain of the scribes answering said, Master, thou hast well said. And after that they durst not ask him any question at all. Luke 20:39-40

The Lord's authority, integrity and theology were all questioned by the scribes. The scribes and Pharisees did not believe Jesus and even though they witnessed many miracles they still denied Him. However, Jesus gave answers that were irrefutable, a reflection of His holiness. God is still in question today. Life is hard in this sin-filled world, but we must not lose faith. The Lord went to the cross for the world. He died for us. Do we have faith? Do we trust in Him? All things work to the glory of God; we are part of His plan, His purpose. Remain steadfast in His love, for He will never leave nor forsake us. Pastor Scott gave the invitation and Charlotte Spencer dismissed us in prayer.
