Young Outdoorsmen United will be hosting their annual fundraising dinner banquet at McDonald County High School on Saturday evening. Doors open at 5 p.m., with dinner served at 6 p.m. A live auction begins at 7 p.m.

The event will feature games and raffles for all ages, and a silent auction before the meals are served. The menu is a combination brisket and chicken dinner with salad and dinner rolls -- corn on the cob, mashed potatoes, desserts, and drinks. The meal is provided by Famous Dave's restaurant of Rogers, Ark. Carry-out dinners are available.

Advance ticket prices are $15 for youth 5-18 years old, and include a season event pass to attend each monthly activity for free. Adult tickets are $20. Kid's meals age 4 and under are $5 and do not include an event pass. Prices at the door increase $5 (excluding kid's meals). To reserve your advance tickets call 417-439-8594.

The proceeds from the event will be used to fuel the organization's monthly outdoor activities for the upcoming year. Events include a river and water-safety class, youth fishing event, a girls-only outdoor day, duck call making and calling seminar, along with a variety of outdoor-related activities.

"We have a good assortment of auction items, and some really fun games to earn raffle tickets this year," stated Ernie Smith, one of the Young Outdoorsmen United volunteers. "We have worked hard to make sure everyone attending will have fun."

Young Outdoorsmen United is an independent organization based in McDonald County. Its goal is to "Build opportunities for youth and families to enjoy the outdoors through hunting, fishing, shooting, and other related outdoors activities."
