Computer Class At Southwest City Library

Have questions on how to navigate websites? Need help with your iPad, Kindle, etc? Want to set up a Facebook or an email account? Want to edit and print pictures from your camera chip? Need help logging on to a desktop computer or your own laptop, downloading to your device and/or finding information?

Southwest City Library is the place for you at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 28. Teens Leslie Flores and Ricardo Padilla will be here to handle your more-complicated issues and librarian Retha Mitchell will be here to assist with the elementary ones. Leslie is bilingual which will be great for those who speak limited English. The teens are excited to share their skills with those who need some help in this growing avenue of internet needs and interests.

We continue to be asked to assist patrons in finding the website and link they need to fill out employment and other applications regarding their health, finances, etc. We will try to find you the answers and skills you are seeking to make you feel less intimidated the next time you log on to a computer.

The class is scheduled for two hours to allow enough time for patrons to get the one-on-one assistance they need. There is no charge for this class. We have only eight computers available so it is necessary to call and reserve a computer in advance. The library staff expects this class to be a popular one, so quickly call the library at 762-7323 if you are interested.
