Two Goodman Residents Hurt In Rollover Wreck

Two Goodman residents sustained moderate injuries in a one-vehicle wreck Jan. 24 on Highway 90, six miles east of Pineville, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The highway patrol reported that a 2005 Chevrolet Aveo driven by Heather L. Gage, 20, was westbound when she ran off the road and overturned.

Gage was taken by ambulance to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin while a passenger, Ashley L. Perkins, 20, was taken by helicopter to Freeman West.

The highway patrol reported neither of the injured were wearing a seat belt.

A Noel man received minor injuries Jan. 24 in a one vehicle wreck on Elk Springs Road, three miles west of Pineville.

The highway patrol reported that a 2004 Ford Focus driven by Manuel Destrickson, 33, was westbound when he ran off the left side of the road, went down an embankment and then overturned.

Destrickson was reported to have been wearing his seat belt.

A one-vehicle wreck Jan. 21 on Route CC, one-half mile south of McNatt, resulted in moderate injuries to Gloria J. Cook, 45, of Stella.

According to the highway patrol, Cook was northbound when she lost control on the icy road, ran off the road and struck a tree.

Cook was taken to Freeman Hospital in Neosho. The highway patrol said she was wearing a seat belt.
