Forgive One Another

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. Ephesians 4:32

Dennis Yotter greeted the congregation and made announcements: Ladies Bible Study will now be on Thursdays at 10 a.m. at the church. Megan Yotter played "Jesus Loves Me" during the penny drill and Sam Spencer and Jack Harp received the morning tithes and offerings. Many praises were heard about God's goodness and mercy and many prayer requests lifted up. Tara Stephens and Megan led the worship service with "When the Roll Is Called Up Yonder," "Heaven Came Down" and "Softly and Tenderly."

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil. Ephesians 4:26-27

When the angry crowd of scribes and Pharisees brought the adulterous women to Jesus to be stoned, Jesus dealt with everyone's sin. First He said those who were without sin could cast the first stone. They all dropped their stones and left and then he turned to the woman, He did not condemn her but told her to go and sin no more. (John 8:2-11)

There are no excuses and we cannot justify our sins in order to be right. Jesus paid for our sins with His precious blood; we must turn to Him, repent, and ask for forgiveness. God loved the world so much He sent Jesus to us, He has shown us His mercy in order to redeem our souls. We cannot hope to save ourselves but trust in His mercy and grace, and as He forgives us we should also forgive one another. Megan Yotter played the piano softly as Pastor Scott gave the invitation and Josh Stephens dismissed us in prayer.
