Whisper My Name

When a far off star,

Rests softly against the sky,

Whisper my name.

When darkened grey clouds,

Make the sun seem too far,

Whisper my name.

Softly spoken words,

Heard by only one,

Spoken so very low,

By one that will not run.

When the waters of a stream,

Play a quiet song at night,

Whisper my name.

When the wind moves the leaves,

And the branches slowly sway,

Whisper my name.

When alone in a meadow,

And the grass begs to stay,

Whisper my name.

When days pass the same,

Only to be counted,

Whisper my name.

When a rainbow asks so little,

And retreats without any shame,

Whisper my name,

Whisper my name.
