The McDonald County Youth Wrestling Club took third place out out of 37 teams competing in the Terminator Classic III youth wrestling tournament held Saturday in Springfield.
McDonald County had two winners at the tournament. Sam Murphy took first place 110-130 pounds in the 10 and under division while Lane Pointer won the 205 pound weight class in the 12 and under division.
Other McDonald County wrestlers to medal are as follows:
• 6 and under -- Landon Vick, fourth place, 50 pounds;
• 8 and under -- Trey Hardin, fourth place, 75-80 pounds;
• 10 and under -- Levi Smith, fifth place, 65 pounds; Cross Spencer, fifth place, 70 pounds; Blaine Ortiz, third place, 80 pounds;
• 12 and under -- Gabriel Selby, third place, 80 pounds; Jacob Selby, fourth place, 85 pounds; Oscar Ortiz, third place, 85 pounds;
• 14 and under 90-95 -- David Lazalde, fourth place, 90-95 pounds; Dylan Akins, second place, 165-175 pounds.
The club's next tournament is Saturday in Reed's Spring.
