Pineville Council Approves Subdivision Addition To City

The Pineville City Council meeting on Dec. 7 began with the approval of bills in the amount of $63,707.04.

The council approved Ordinance No. 15-16, accepting Pineville Country Homes, owned by Gains and Sandy Dittrich, as a subdivision to the city.

The second reading was completed of Ordinance 15-15: Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) Ordinance. The ordinance was approved by the council.

Mayor Gregg Sweeten discussed breaks in water lines near the library and a clogged sewer line. Sweeten said the problem was fixed before Thanksgiving and that Public Works Department did a super job fixing the problems.

Sweeten addressed the electricity issue at the restaurant at 308 Harmon St., in downtown Pineville, which the city rents. Sweeten said he has arranged for an electrician to look at the problem and will come up with a cost to fix it.
