Special To McDonald County Press

Located on the eastern side of town, on Industrial Park Road, Roxell USA has been a part of Anderson's landscape -- in one incarnation or another -- for more than to two decades.

Roxell, a subsidiary of CTB Inc. prides itself on offering innovative concept solutions for the livestock industry. The company manufactures automatic feeding, drinking, nesting, ventilation, and heating systems for the poultry and pig industry.

But, the company doesn't simply manufacture. Roxell is committed to developing products that are world-renowned for their durability, performance, and production results in the rearing of livestock.

In 2013, the company strengthened and extended its global footprint when it integrated with Agile Manufacturing, which previously only marketed Roxell systems and the accompanying heating, nesting, and ventilation systems it produced.

Transformation and Transportation

With 150 distributors worldwide, state-of-the-art machinery, and a flexible logistics structure, Roxell guarantees the consistent transformation of raw materials into trusted products and the dependable transportation of these products.

Roxell USA headquarters are housed in Indiana. Orders are fulfilled worldwide out of the facility in Anderson, as well as two others around the globe -- one in Maldegem, Belgium, the other in Kuala Lumpor, Malaysia.

The Anderson plant specializes in gas-fueled heaters, hatching egg nests, and egg collection equipment, but the company also distribute corresponding equipment for watering, feeding, and ventilation to local retailers.

Two fundamental strategies allow the company to handle any project, large or small, with the same superlative care and deliver it accurately, anywhere in the world.

Local Focus

Despite the company's wide-reaching business, Roxell believes in working with and being a part of the community. At the facility in Anderson, all 75 employees live within a five county radius -- primarily from Missouri -- and more than 95 percent of the materials used during construction are sourced from suppliers in the United States.

Both the galvanized and stainless steel for machinery is supplied by Ryerson Steel of Fort Smith, Ark., while plastic-molded parts are supplied by Wescon Plastics of Wichita, Kan., and Johnson Manufacturing of Harrison, Ark.

Roxell USA is actively planning to increase this number until 100 percent of product components are purchased and assembled within the country's borders.

The Anderson facility is also planning a remodel in the coming year that will increase the warehouse's square footage and streamline storage of the stock to be distributed.

Locally sourcing raw material energizes the economy and additionally allows Roxell to provide systems to farmers significantly faster than companies that transport their product great distances across land or sea.

Roxell partners with Whittle Logistics, of Springdale, Ark., to ship products to a variety of distributors in the tri-state area, such as Southwest Poultry Supply in Southwest City, Preferred Poultry of Cassville, Mo., and Lincoln, Ark., and RCDC Equipment Inc. of Springdale Ark..

Each of these distributors has the necessary supplies to fully equip or update any chicken house in a single visit and, if needed, can also supply materials to build the chicken house or help locate a contractor to do so.
