Crowder College Foundation To Host Evening Of Jazz

The Crowder College Foundation will host its sixth Annual Evening of Jazz on Tuesday, May 5 at the Neosho Civic.

The event begins with a wine and hors d'oeuvres mixer at 6 p.m. followed by a live jazz performance by Crowder Jazz Orchestra at 7 p.m.

Gary Bandy will serve as master of ceremonies for the evening. Sponsors include Certified Express, Inc.; Community Bank and Trust; The Cornerstone Bank; First Community Bank; Freeman Neosho Hospital; J.E. Dunn Construction; and Southwest Missouri Bank. Proceeds from the event will provide scholarship assistance for students with limited financial resources.

Crowder Jazz Orchestra, an 18-piece band, features community and professional musicians who collectively have played with musical greats including Doc Severinsen, Joe Williams, Harry Mancini, Wayne Newton, Bob Mintzer and the Woody Herman Orchestra.

In conjunction with Evening of Jazz, chances for a Branson vacation package may be purchased for $5 each or $20 for five chances at the following locations: Crowder College book stores; Community Bank and Trust (all Neosho branches); Commerce Bank of Barry County (Cassville); The Cornerstone Bank (Goodman and Southwest City branches); Security Bank (Cassville) and Southwest Missouri Bank (all Neosho branches).

The package includes two nights at Thousand Hills Resort; four tickets to Silver Dollar City; four tickets to lunch or dinner cruise aboard Showboat Branson Belle; four tickets to White Water; $150 gift card redeemable at The Tracks Family Fun Parks; four tickets to Dixie Stampede; and four tickets to Ride the Ducks. The drawing takes place during Evening of Jazz, but the lucky winner does not have to be present to win.

Crowder College Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit 501 (c)(3) tax exempt organization that encourages and supports giving for the benefit of Crowder College. The Foundation acts as the principal organization through which private gifts are made and administered for the benefit of the college. The sole reason for its existence is to serve Crowder College.
