Bean Feed Set For Sept. 20 In Powell

The annual Old-Fashioned Ham and Bean Feed at Powell will be held Saturday, Sept. 20 at the beautiful grounds of the Albert E. Brumley and Sons Publishing in Powell (the old Hill and Hollow grounds).

The chow line and the music will begin at 5:30 p.m. The menu will consist of delicious ham and beans straight out of an old iron kettle, homemade cornbread, dessert and a drink.

Ozark Wildfire will provide the entertainment. Come and enjoy these four young people (two sets of brothers and sisters -- all cousins) who will delight you with their variety of talent of singing and playing of musical instruments.

This will be your last chance to buy a raffle ticket for a beautiful handmade quilt. The winning ticket will be drawn during the bean feed. Sign up for a door prize and, as always, the parking is free. Bring your family and friends and enjoy good fun and great music. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket and have a fun-filled evening outdoors.
