Wheaton Man Killed In Wreck On Highway 76

Jerad D. Powell, 39, of Wheaton was killed in a one-vehicle wreck July 27 on Highway 76 near Ridgeley, Mo., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The highway patrol reported that Powell was eastbound when he ran off the road and overturned. Powell, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle.

Three people were hurt July 27 in a one-vehicle wreck on Route H, two miles east of Noel. The highway patrol reported a car driven by Abdulfatah Ainanshe, 24, of Noel was westbound when he ran off the road and struck an embankment.

Ainanshe and a passenger, Ali Mohaned, 24, of Noel were taken to Freeman Hospital in Neosho with moderate injuries while a second passenger, Omar Maslah, also of Noel, received minor injuries.

The highway patrol reported all three occupants were wearing their seat belts.

Aaron L. Russell, 18, of Seneca, received moderate injuries July 25 in a one-vehicle wreck on Highway 43, two miles south of Tiff City.

The highway patrol reported that Russell was southbound when he ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree. Russell, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.
