Local Students Earn Distinction At Wichita State University

Wichita State University has announced the names of more than 2,100 students who were on the WSU dean's honor roll for spring 2014.

To be included on the dean's honor roll, a student must be enrolled full time and earn at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Area students included on the dean's honor roll were Sandra Nichols, of Anderson, and Timothy Intessimone, of Wheaton.

In addition, Intessimone was one of more than 1,500 students who completed degrees at Wichita State University in spring 2014. Intessimone received his Bachelor of General Studies degree while majoring in criminal justice.

He graduated with magna cum laude honors, which requires a grade point average of at least 3.55.

WSU enrolls more than 14,500 students and offers more than 50 undergraduate degree programs in more than 150 areas of study in six undergraduate colleges.
