Tiny Tot Contest Slated For Saturday Morning

One of the popular events held each year at the McDonald County Fair is the Tiny Tot Contest.

This is an opportunity for parents, grandparents and any others to show off that special little tyke in their life and give them a chance to compete for the title of Mr. or Miss Tiny Tot.

This event will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 19. However, someone needs to register the contestant between 9:30 and 10 a.m. It will be held in the fair building. This building is not air conditioned. There is a $5 registration fee for each contestant. There will be 12 divisions (boys and girls) in the following age brackets:

0-4 months;

5-8 months;

9-12 months;

1 year old;

2 year old; and

3 year old.

Contestants will be judged on grooming, cleanliness and personality. All contestants will receive a gift. Awards will be given for first, second, and third place in each division. Participant ribbons will be awarded to everyone. First place trophies will be awarded in each division. Rosette ribbons will be awarded to second and third place in each division.
