Everyone Has The Ability To See The Light Of Christ

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14

Dennis Yotter greeted the church and made announcements: All are invited to the Christmas program on Dec. 14 at 6 p.m. and Christmas caroling is Dec.17 at 5:30 p.m.

Joshua Shere and Mark Alumbaugh received the morning tithes and offerings after the little children collected change during the penny drill. Pastor Scott led the congregation in prayer, with all the hustle and bustle of Christmas be sure to spend time with the Lord in prayer...pray for one another, our nation, our military and pray to be a light for the glory of the Lord. Tara Stephens and Megan Yotter led the worship service with "O Come, All Ye Faithful," "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" and "What Child Is This?"

In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. John 1:4-5

Knowing Jesus as Lord and Savior is life, not just here on this earth but for all eternity. When we accept Him as Lord and the light shines in our heart, it brings a greater understanding of Him, we understand His truth. We all have our own opinions about what is important and what is truth, but God determines the standard for truth and judgment. Each of us is given the ability to see the light of Christ, but not all will come to the light, sin separates man from God.

He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:11-13

When we receive Jesus into our heart, we become His own children, sons and daughters of God, joint heirs with Christ. We should be excited and rejoice and joy should overflow our hearts, for the baby that was born to save us all, will come again as King of kings and Lord of lords! Pastor Scott gave the invitation and Charolette dismissed us in prayer.
