Driver Hurt When Ejected From Vehicle

John J. Bartholomew, 35, of Anderson, sustained moderate injuries when he was ejected as the result of a two-vehicle wreck Aug. 18 on Highway 76, three miles west of Anderson, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The highway patrol reported that Bartholomew was eastbound when his 2000 Dodge Neon crossed the center line of the highway and struck a westbound van. The impact caused Bartholomew's vehicle to run off the road where it overturned several times, ejecting the driver.

Bartholomew was transported by helicopter to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.

The driver of the van, Salvador Osario-Marcos, 30, of Carthage, also sustained moderate injuries. He was taken to Freeman West by ambulance.
