Over Pound Of Marijuana Found During Drug Bust

The McDonald County Sheriff's Department and the Southwest Missouri Drug Task force arrested two people on drug charges while serving a search warrant Friday evening at a residence on Rains Road, just outside of Jane.

Sheriff Mike Hall said during the execution of the search warrant, a pound and half of marijuana was found packaged and ready for distribution.

Information gained was that the resident was distributing marijuana to teens and young adults. While doing the search, approximately seven vehicles showed up and most of the 22 occupants admitted coming to purchase marijuana. The occupants ranged in age from 15 to 23.

Arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute was David O. Robins, 49, of Jane. Arrested on a charge of possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana was Michael A. Jackson, 17, of Pineville.

Hall said one other person was arrested on a warrant out of Oklahoma for dangerous drugs and two misdemeanor summons for drug paraphernalia were issued.
