Mark your calendars for the annual Stellabration which will be held Nov. 3.
The village of Stella Safe Room will be open at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, for all participants to bring their quilts to exhibit during the Stellabration (for more information, call Doris Dalbom at 417-628-3253). You may set up your booths (call Lamelia Beckett at 417-628-3129 forbooth reservation) at 7 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3.
The following is a schedule of events of some of the activities planned for the 2012 Stellabration:
◊7-9 a.m. - Breakfast provided by the Stella Senior Center
◊10 a.m. - Veterans program - three veterans will be honored by State Representative Bill Lant
◊11 a.m. - Lunch provided by Stella Historical Society (chili, stew and dessert)
◊TBA - Dog Show
◊12:30 p.m. - Parade line up at Triway School
◊1:30 p.m. - Parade
◊4 p.m. - Duck race (tickets can be purchased at Click’s, Le-Ru Telephone, Longview Grocery and Longview Mill or call Terry May at 417-628-3299)
Singing groups will be Crossroad Singers and the chorus from Triway School
Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy a day in Stella.
All school organizations, cheerleaders, homecoming queens, horses, governmental o◊cials, National Guard, bands along with those with antique cars, motorcycles, floats, bicycles, four-wheelers, tractors are invited to join the parade. Patriotic themes are encouraged.
