We were greeted by Bro. Ray Clanton and B.J. Goodwin, our host, as we gathered at Ozark Funeral Home in Noel for our morning worship. Gene Gardner welcomed the congregation and opened the service with prayer.

Brother Ray announced that we will hold the Lord’s Supper next Sunday and gave a fire and rebuilding update. With Becky Johnson at the piano, Karen Gardner led us in hymns of faith.

Brother Ray read Psalms121, a song, sang on many different feast occasions to profess faith. He retold the story and geography about the city of Jerusalem which sits upon a plateau above the Dead Sea and divided by three rivers. The scripture says, “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help? My help comes from the Lord, which made heavenand earth.” We, at Mill Creek, look above to our Savior for help and guidance as we rebuild from the ashes of the fire. Brother Ray asked, “Are you looking to the Savior for help that you need? Our help comes from God and what a strength He is to lean on. God doesn’t give us everything we want, but wisely gives us what we need.” Brother Ray went on to say, “God doesn’t trust us with everything at once, but supplies our needs. He is always on the job and just asin the scripture ‘He will not slumber or sleep.’”

After a hymn of invitation the service closed with a benediction from B.J. Goodwin.

We invite you to worship with us at our temporary “home away from home” at the Ozark Funeral Home in Noel as we rebuild. We appreciate B.J. and Cassidi’s hospitality and generosity. Sunday school begins at 10 a.m. and worship service at 11 a.m. All are welcome.
